SP can use Veeam Backup & Replication to provide its customers cloud storage as a service.Cloud storages have a multi-tenant architecture. Veeam Backup & Replication creates a storage abstraction layer and virtually divides the sources of a cloud pool. As a result, it can provide SP, cloud pool resources to multiple tenants and store the tenant data on the cloud in an isolated and separated way. Veeam Backup & Replication creates a secure channel to transfer tenant data to and from the cloud pool and provides data encryption properties to protect the stored tenant data. All data protection and disaster recovery tasks targeted on the cloud storage are performed by the tenants themselves. Tenants can organize the required works themselves and perform the tasks on the Veeam backup servers distributed to their side. Tenants can perform the following tasks:
Back up virtual and physical machines to cloud storage
Copy backup files to cloud storage
Restore data from cloud storage
File copy operations between tenant side and cloud storage
